Situé dans la province de Sienne, sur la route entre San Quirico d'Orcia et Pienza, cette jolie petite église est l'une des plus photographiées de Toscane.
Encadré par des cyprès, ce monument recouvert de pierre blanche et entourée de collines verdoyantes semble presque trop idyllique pour être vrai.

La Chapelle Madonna di Vitaleta (celle de gauche) est un petit joyau niché au cœur d'une forêt de six cyprès majestueux, près de San Quirico d'Orcia, village situé au centre de la vallée et classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. L'édifice actuel date de la fin de la Renaissance, sa première mention remontant à 1590. Le site a servi de décor à plusieurs tournages, notamment pour le film « Gladiator ». ~VVVVV~ The Chapel of the Madonna di Vitaleta (the one on the left) is a small jewel set among six iconic cypress trees, near San Quirico d'Orcia, a town in the center of the valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The structure dates back to the late Renaissance, with the first mention of it being in 1590. Parts of the area have been used for filming, most notably in the movie "Gladiator". ~VVVVV~
