Black-billed Magpie pretending it is a woodpecker.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

This Magpie was doing something I had never seen before. This is in a city park that has a lot of dying spruce trees. This bird was acting like a woodpecker and peeling bark off to get a grubs underneath.
