If it survives the Winter, this newly planted tree will still take years to look like a real tree. However, survival is questionable since it hasn't had a leaf on it since July. Yet the fruit seems to be ripening. Unfortunately, I don't expect this coming Winter to be any more kind to newly planted trees than this past Summer has been. We'll see what happens next Spring,
Meanwhile, I really don't want to have to start over from scratch...
