25 Sep Checking the dryer temperature

We purchased this stacked washer dryer combo about 4 years
ago and after 11 months on a one year warranty it overheated
while drying one day and luckily I was in the house at the
time and shut it down. Called the dealer and a repairman came
out and as it didn't overheat while he was there, there was
nothing wrong, Too bad. I called a different guy and he said
it was probably a safety thingie and he didn't have one with him
but did suggest using a different setting, so now I sit and read
a book while drying the clothes and check the temp every so often
and I have found that if it stays under 120 degrees its OK. I've
been keeping track of it since March and I has only happened
once, but as I was watching, no fire and no burned clothes!
