Historic Renaissance-style garden with herbs and roses, plus a tearoom. The oldest part of the building dates back to 1487.
The Prinsenhof in Groningen has a rich history. Originally a monastery, it became a residence for the stadtholders of Friesland, Groningen, and Drenthe in the 16th century. After the departure of the last stadtholder in 1795, the complex was used, among other things, as a military hospital and later as a museum. It is a national monument.
Today, it serves as a hotel and an event venue.
