The Imperial Staircase of Göttweig Abbey in Austria is a monumental example of Baroque architecture.
The grand staircase within the monastery's Imperial Wing is crowned by a magnificent ceiling fresco by Paul Troger.
This fresco, completed in 1739, depicts the "Apotheosis of Emperor Charles VI”.
It serves as a masterpiece of the era, making the staircase one of Europe's most impressive Baroque staircases.
I wish I could have gotten some better photos.
It was so grand it was hard to fit the whole scene in one photo.
This is the last photo in a series of three.
