Malachit Lake
This lake is named Malachit Lake because of its sparkling green water in the middle of the alpine meadows. Malachit Lake is located at an altitude of 2,528 meters above sea level. It is the largest of the six Lejins. In the Furtschellas area there are six small lakes that are often visited in a hike known as the water trail. It starts at the middle station of the Furtschellas Bahn. The lakes include the Cristal Lake, the Magnetite Lake, the Malachite Lake, the Rhodonite Lake, the S-chaglia Lake, and the Epidot Lake. These six 'Lejins' of the Oberengadin are only a few hundred meters apart.
