Louis Jean Desmarais
1936-2024

   It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Monsieur Louis Jean Desmarais, on September 5, 2024, at the age of 88.

   Beloved husband for 61 years of Antonia Strokowsky, cherished father of Louis-Philippe, Grégoire, Natasha (Alec), devoted grandfather of Anna, Kade. He will also be deeply missed by his brother Jacques, cousin Marc (Nicole) and many relatives and friends.

   A mass will be held in his memory at Mary-Queen-of-Peace church at 9:00am on Saturday, 14th of September. The family will receive condolences on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 2 pm to 5 pm at : Yves Legare.

   The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the CHSLD Grace Dart for their wonderful support and care.

   In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) would be appreciated.

   from Phil Gies: I remember Louis from my years in Montreal ACC. In the early 70s he and Doug Buchanan were IFR course instructors. Louis was always easy to get along with and quietly confident in his abilities. He demonstrated integrity and was a mentor to many. I also had business with him when he was the director and his character remained the same - a good man and a credit to his profession.
