The Grand Canyon On The North Rim

Grand Canyon-North Rim, Arizona

This image was taken a short distance below the historic Grand Canyon Lodge on the North Rim that was recently destroyed by a wildfire. The location from where I took this image was below the lodge with the the lodge behind me. This scene was photographed soon after breakfast and just before we were going to leave the North Rim and proceed to our next destination. The loss the the lodge is really a huge loss for all.

I was very sad to learn about the loss of the lodge at the North Rim. I missed my chance to stay there. I have only seen the Grand Canyon from the South Rim. It is such a magnificent place, took my breath away. V

A fine landscape showing the amazing and colorful layers of the canyon. I am saddened by the loss of the Lodge, it was such a special place to see when we were at the Canyon.
