Will It Last Half As Long As The Old One?

My clothes dryer died so I bought a new one. I have a habit of writing the date
of install on the back because somewhere down the line I'll wonder when did I buy it?
The date on the back of the old dryer was April 27, 1982...

good luck with the new unit...planned obsolescence by manufacturers ensures that newer appliances, and all manner of devices, will have to be replaced more frequently..

43 years is a long time.
These days with all the bells and whistles, more chances of something to go wrong.

It will be a surprise if it does last as long as your old one. Appliances just don't seem to last as long anymore. V

I had our appliance repair guy tell us to keep fixing the old one until he couldn’t do it anymore. Finally got a new one a year ago. I’m sure mine was at least as old as your oldie. He told me the new ones won’t last as long.

Wow, that was a very old dryer, but how fortunate that it lasted that long. Good luck with the new one, which sad to say, probably won't last as long as the old one.
