Saw something unusual this morning out back, and grabbed my camera.

Not a great picture, and it was extremely flighty (there were actually two of them), but
this is the first picture I've ever gotten of a catbird.

I've heard them around for years, and just a few days ago found out what they are.

Years ago I went searching for a nest of kittens that I was convinced was back in the trees.
I never found them, because they were never there - it was one of these.

They sound exactly like a mewling kitten.
