The highlight of the day was a visit to Musee D'Orsay, a massive art gallery that is housed in the old Gare D'Orsay train station. It was opened in 1986. There are five stories of exhibits on either side of a grand hall. We spent over three hours there. When I go to an art museum, I like to spot works that are familiar to me. This is Whistler's Mother in the Musee D'Orsay in Paris. I wonder if when she was mad at her son she said, "James Abbott McNeill Whistler you come here right now!"
