Rocky Mountains National Park Trail Ridge Road
Trail Ridge Road is a scenic 48-mile stretch of U.S. Highway 34 that traverses Rocky Mountain National Park, connecting Estes Park and Grand Lake. It is the highest continuous paved road in the United States, reaching an elevation of 12,183 feet. The road typically closes in the fall due to snow and reopens in late May, or early June. (It snowed here that night)
