The flag was on half-mast because of the April 26, 2025, vehicle-ramming attack that took place during the Lapu-Lapu Day festival.
This attack left 11 people dead and at least 32 more injured.

I wonder who died since the flag is half-mast! Beautiful view over the Rose Garden and the Howe Sound fiord (That all cruise ships take to head North to Alaska).
