The half-timbered house at the corner of Rue du Rempart with Rue des Unterlinden and Place des Unterlinden is called Restaurant Pfeffel.It has an entrance on Rue du Rempart and another on the square.The restaurant's name is related to the Pfeffel monument that stood in front of Unterlinden from 1859 to 1918. The monument currently stands in Square Pfeffel.
Rapp House
In Topographie du Vieux Colmar1, Auguste Scherlen mentions the house at the corner of Rue du Rempart and Rue d'Unterlinden as the Rapp House. Johann Rapp, grandfather of General Rapp (born in Colmar in 1773), lived in this house around 17241 (a date related to the neighboring house at 2 Rue d'Unterlinden).
