Church In Arzachena

Arzachena, Sardinia, Italy

The church of Saint Lucia (Chiesa Santa Lucia) in Arzachena is located on the hill with brethtaking views.
What makes it even more special is the famous, vivid and fun stairway leading up to the entrance.
Visitors can enjoy the ever-changing steps painted by local artists.
The work was created by Fabio Petani and represents the lush scenery of the typical flora of Gallura.
Myrtle and rosemary lead the viewer along a staircase to the church, where the olive tree symbolizes peace and brotherhood.
Saint Lucia is venerated as the patron saint of sight and eye protection. Rosemary (white silhouette) contains substances that promote eye health.
The myrtle, linked to the goddess Venus, symbolizes purity and beauty, while the olive tree, sacred in various traditions, represents regeneration and peace.

Very nice placement into the frame those steps is a brilliant idea leading up to the entrance of the Church.
Excellent resolution so we could enjoy the artwork on the steps.
