Sans Souci Palace in Potsdam, Germany, was built by Frederich the Great in 1747. It was his summer retreat. Good old Fred was quite a guy. He built up the German economy and strengthened the military. He is buried on the grounds of the palace along with 11 of his favorite dogs.
