Thanks for resizing, Traveller. I would have done that after returning home.

The tree is not that old, Jim. The original gifted by Athena was replaced eventually. The one shown is several generations old.

I wasn't about to find anything about the auto size feature on my phone. Paul, please post about it in the Challenge thread and include some helpful images. Ditto for Apple Intelligence Cleanup.

While was planning to crop out the people (the Acropolis is very crowded, even though the number visitors is now limited), I actually liked having the crane in the image. It's a storytelling element; work to preserve the temples is ongoing.

I look forward to visiting both Athens and Jerusalem again (gotta get to Rome someday). We were in the latter at Easter and did our best to stay out of the way of the devoted.

Further on Olive Trees....I visited these outside the walls of Jerusalem when I was there for Christmas:

The Garden of Gethsemane contains some of the oldest olive trees in the world, with carbon dating indicating that three of the oldest trees were around 1092, 1166, and 1198 years old. While the oldest trees are not 2000 years old as some guides claim, they are still considered to be among the most ancient olive trees. The trees in Gethsemane are significant both for their age and their historical importance, being located near the site where Jesus is believed to have prayed before his arrest

This tree can probably tell a lot of stories.

The auto size feature does wonders for the visual aspect of oversized images.
I downloaded this image and tried the Apple Intelligence Cleanup feature and it was quite impressive on how well it took out the folks in the lower right corner and the construction crane. Paul

I would like to note that under the ancient CanonImageChallenge charter, any member that is in Greece during the applicable Eligible Entry period, automatically has their Entry Limit raised to 10 images and size limitations are also lifted temporarily until said participant returns home and has the reasonable oportunity adjust the image size.

I am glad that I have read the Charter, though there may be more recent amendments that I am unaware of and wait for other Member comments on these respected and ancient rules.

Best Wishes, Traveller
