Redbud 4-15-25

Like many small trees, redbuds usually only live for about 20 years but sometimes survive for 50 years or more.
This one fits the long-lived classification by now being close to 40 years old.

Stunning shot! We have a redbud tree which has somehow survived in our garden for about 25 years, before we moved here, but is showing signs of age (It is north of its typical natural range, in Ottawa). V

Glad to hear it.. looks great. Our cherry tree has reached it's life expectancy of 40 years and will need to be cut down this year. Will not be a pleasant task
