With Easter decorations for the ocasion
The Rue de l'Eglise, which owes its name to the proximity of the Collegiate Church of Saint Martin, connects the Place de la Cathédrale to the Grand'Rue , not far from the Place de l'Ancienne Douane .
The sloping street follows the Muhlbach, a watercourse partly visible in the Place de la Cathédrale. At the bottom of the Rue de l'Eglise, the Muhlbach (Sinnbach or Gerberbach) passes under the Grand'Rue and reappears in the Place de l'Ancienne Douane and Rue des Tanneurs.
The even-numbered side of the Rue de l'Eglise, with its medieval-style houses, contrasts with the odd-numbered side which runs alongside the watercourse and was reworked in the 19th century.
