answers from Tim:
-The remotes do not need a direct line of sight to the fans and they will work up to at least 35’ from the fans.
-If the fan is wired to a wall switch and operated from the remote, it will have memory to remain on the same fan speed and light setting when you turn the wall switch off and then on.
The light kit comes with both fresnel and frosted lenses. The light will be a bit brighter using the fresnel lens. The frosted lens will soften the light.
questions:
- do remotes need to be line of site
- if you switch power off and then on, what state does it come back in (light off/on, fan off/on, etc.); does switching off hurt electronics?
- what is the difference between all of the remotes they offer
- fresnel vs regular lens???
- size and height of each fans; should the loft one be smaller and higher?
- will 48 or 60" blades work on DC fan motor
