"that never go completely dark"... UNLESS the flight crew want all of the passengers to go to sleep and not bother them, in which case they'll punch 10,000 volts through the electrically sensitive gel in the windows to slam it more tightly shut than a miser's purse. But hey, being Qantas, draining the will to live from passengers through extensive flight delays also helps to ensure that passengers are reduced to bedraggled, baggy eyed human husks who are too exhausted to hit the call button, much less complain about the possibly radioactive, toxic swamp scum that they try to pass off as a beef ragu as an in flight meal.

But at least you got lucky with enough light passing through for this shot.
