Our washing machine (8 years old) has been behaving badly again. A little while ago I replaced a lid interlock switch which fixed a problem at the time. Recently it has decided to poop out during the spin cycle. Ginny's work-around is to download the batch of laundry and finish it in three portions. It works but it is a pain in the behind. Anyway, she did some research and decided that the problem was the suspension springs of which there are four. I looked at several YouTube videos (the good ones) that showed how to replace them. So I dived into the project and managed to replace them without damaging anything else. Once back together, Ginny ran a load and it all worked fine. Will have to wait for a big load to see if the fix really did work. If not, there is a new washing machine in our future, and Ginny already has it selected.
