The Tucson Rodeo always starts with a "Kids Events".
One of them features young kids riding bareback on a sheep. The kids are timed and judged just like the adults are.
This photo shows a 5 year old boy riding on the sheep bareback - and about to slide off.
The audience loves these events.

For the record, this photo will probably move to Exhibition in a few days.

My grandkids have ridden the sheep at the Johnson county fall fair. Here they call it mutton busting. After the mutton ride then they go and participate in the greased pig chase. That one is funny, not for the pigs, piglets actually but everyone especially the kids seem to enjoy it. If a youngster is lucky enough to capture one they win a prize. $10 bucks or so. Paul
