60 mph wind gusts broke a V-shaped maple tree in two, and it's been leaning on a few trees since then. In December I noticed some canine tracks walking up the slope of the leaning trunk. Shortly after that I noticed new tracks with a dirty depression a third of the way up the trunk where the visitor rested. The size of the tracks indicated that it was a Red Fox. I bought a trail cam to monitor the tree, and a Red Fox walked past the tree every week or so. It took over a month before the fox climbed up the tree again.
