I had the urge to post a bird photo today but haven't shot any lately. So I dug into my archives and found this image of a Green Heron. When shooting this kind of photo one has less options in choosing a background. Where the bird lands more or less decides that. Anyway, I am particularly fond of herons and have lots os image of the awesome Great Blue Heron with its six foot wingspan. The Green Heron is a much smaller heron but still fascinating. I have never posted this shot before.
