The old Park Hotel as seen from the Omeath Greenway.
Originally built as a country house, it was the location of an Irish language college in the early years of the 20th century, where notable visitors included Padraig Pearse, one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising, as well as Douglas Hyde who became the first President of Ireland.
It later operated as a successful hotel but has been closed for a decade or more.
