After all the spectators cheered them, they went to lift their boat out of the water, and then dropped it. They got cheered again. never seen rowers so embarrassed.
Especially when some men stepped forward and picked it up for them.
And they thought it was all over. Excepting a women's rowing magazine contacted me and asked if they could use the photo of them dropping their boat. I sent them the photo and they used it on the front page of their magazine.
