I finally finished converting all my external storage to solid state drives. The new drive (on the right) replaced the network attached storage I had been using for quite a while. It was a spinning disk which I was happy to retire. The worst part in all this is backing up to the new drive. It took six hours to back the photos and six hours to back up the originals. But it was worth the wait. The new disk is kept attached to the computer and is used to make backups. The other back up disk is regularly rotated with one in our safe deposit box.
