Main building of the Málaga City Hall. Period: 20th century. On April 11, 1919, the City Hall took possession of what is still its headquarters today. The new building, the work of architects Guerrero Strachan and Manuel Rivera Vera, would meet a double need: on the one hand, to meet the growing administrative demand of a developing city and, on the other, to project a renewed image of prestige and progress. It was designed not only as a town hall, but also as the headquarters of the Provincial Court and the Courts of Instruction. The building is located on Paseo del Parque, on the main communication route, integrating the space that houses it as another element of decoration, given its representativeness as an artistic monument given by the decoration of its facades and the rooms it houses inside.
