A notice explains: The Night of July 15: Ömer Halisdemir, who changed the course of the July 15 coup attempt and became the symbol of resistance against the coup, obeyed the order of Special Forces Commander Zekai Aksakallı, knowing that it would eventually lead to martyrdom. "Hero" Halisdemir, who played a major role in preventing the coup by killing the putschist Brigadier General Semih Terzi, who wanted to seize the Special Forces Command, without blinking, was martyred by being shot multiple times by putschist soldiers at the scene.

Gaziantep on July 15. Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek shared photos he took at Democracy Square in Gaziantep, where thousands of people gathered, on social media. Those who gathered in the square protested the coup attempt. Construction equipment was placed in front of the 5th Armored Brigade Command. The people of Gaziantep stood tall on the night of July 15, resisted the coup and fought for democracy.
