In the streets named after people honoured in the previous half century, the street Alarcón Luján was kept, in memory of the mayor who made the street Larios possible. In fact, the city dedicated the street to him in 1891, the same year that it inaugurated the street named after the Marquis of Larios. The name of Alarcón Luján is already a classic in Málaga´s street directory, but, aware of the importance of the previous name of this street, Francisco Bejarano himself dedicated a study to it in his famous work on the history of the streets of the city, with the peculiarity that he never incorporated it into his successive books, until the last edition of 'Las calles de Málaga' four years ago, thanks to the compilation work of his son, the academic of San Telmo Rafael Bejarano.
