Opera in the Quarry

Perth, Western Australia

Picnic before an evening of outdoor opera in an old quarry, now a performance venue.
And last year was cold brew.

What a great venue for an Opera and so beautifully exposed and captured. VV

A long time ago they began Opera in the Outback. The heat has not kicked in yet so that would be a cosy night despite being outdoors.

Good use of an old quarry!

I used to wear a suit and tie to the opera. This looks like much more fun.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that Perth collectively believes that under no circumstances will it ever rain.
(Of course statistically they are more often right than wrong, unless I'm there at the time.)
In that sense an open air theatre in a disused quarry is indeed worthy of one saying "WAO!"
