And unfortunately the prelude to Hurricane/Tropical storm Helene.
This 6+" of rain soaked the ground and when Helene added another 3"
and heavy winds in our area things when downhill fast. We were,
however, in better shape through it all than our regional
neighbors up in western North Carolina where there was
anywhere from 10" to reports of up to 30" of rain.
We are not Florida and do not get storms like this.
