San Clemente Main Square
Following the Christian conquest of the lands occupied until then by the Muslims, San Clemente became the administrative centre of the whole of La Mancha, and even had its own district which operated in the historical period between the Catholic Monarchs and Philip II. Proof of this is reflected in the urban development with which it was enriched. Its high point is the Plaza Mayor. The scene is dominated by the arcaded old Town Hall, whose interior contains the Museum of Graphic Art of the Antonio Pérez Foundation, which houses a collection of contemporary art with works by artists such as Saura, Feito and Lucebert. In the same square, but in a slightly displaced position, is the 15th century parish church, with valuable altarpieces inside.
