October 16

This morning I was jolted by the news that one of the F-18 Growlers from my community crashed on the flank of Mt Rainer yesterday afternoon. The day passed without news of the plane with it's crew of two. The jets roar by every day in routine patterns and it's easy to forget that the flying they do when out of sight and far away is, at times, dangerous. We will be mourning for some time.

I was sorry to hear that news. That shot is a fitting testament.

That is jolting news, my heart sank and it's a bad scenario if they are still missing. We feel it over here too. Thinking of their families.

I'm sorry to hear that too, Arnie. I had not heard of this. Where I live, we have ANG F-16s around all the time. Great B&W shot of this F-18. ~BV~
