The Estribo Hall | Belmonte Castle
In this room, located on the first floor of the north gallery, the most notable features are the doors leading to the adjoining rooms, decorated with lowered arches with a frieze, the coffered ceiling, two large windows located at the ends with bench seats on each side of their interior sills and the fireplace decorated with various ornamental motifs. The latter has three stone-carved shields on its hood, representing the Santiaguista master dignity (upper), the house of D. Juan Pacheco (left) and the house of his wife Dª María Portocarrero.
