Belmonte castle. Courtyard
The courtyard offers a great contrast between the original buildings, made of stone masonry, such as the keep and the 15th century walls, and the two wings or residential galleries that, when joined, form an acute angle. They were built during the third quarter of the 19th century by order of Eugenio de Montijo, whose neo-Gothic-Mudejar facades have a reddish colour due to the type of material used, brick.
