I joined Ganges on 13th January 1976 as a communicator. After new entry I was in Fearless Division. At Mercury I chose to become a submariner and after 2 boats and a CTF 345 comms draft, I was fortunate enough to go to BRNC Dartmouth in January 1985 and restart training as an officer. After continuing my officer career in and around submarine drafts and appointments I retired after 40 years in 2016.
