Well known ‘Busking King’ expat dies in Phnom Penh

A fixture of the Phnom Penh expat scene – and a member of well known musical group ‘The Busking Kings’ – has passed away in Phnom Penh.

Australian Daryl Paxton was a well known member of the expat music scene in Phnom Penh.

Known to friends and fans as ‘Packo’, he was an accomplished guitar player, who performed on a regular basis in venues in the capital.

On social media, a friend described him as ‘a true gentleman and larger than life bloke as known by anyone who knew him well. ‘

Mr Paxton is believed to have died of heart attack.
