Hernán Alonso Chirino (Cuenca; 1365-Medinaceli; 1429) was a Castilian physician of the 15th century, personal physician of Juan II and father of Mosén Diego de Valera. By royal order he was director of the guild of surgeons. He is the author of two medical treatises: Espejo de la Medicina —a text known to have existed through references— and Menor daño de la Medicina. Today he bears the name of a street in Cuenca.
