Chile has to be one of the calmest, most patient dogs in the world to go along with the silly birthday hat. Judging from all of her happy tail wags, she actually loved the attention of being dressed up on her special day.

To her, wearing a funny hat was no big deal. I didn't use any treats to get this photo. Chile was looking at me with the love that is always in her eyes. She routinely stares me in directly in the eyes like this. Her adoring gaze frequently can last for long periods of time. Whenever she does this, my heart just melts. We are so lucky to have this wonderful Chihuahua girl in our lives. It makes Chile happy to see us smile. And she never fails to make us smile. She was meant to be our girl, and we were meant to be her people. Every day with Chile is a joy.
