Green frogs have big bulging eyes that enable them to see in many directions.
Not many are aware that the tympanum that is the round spot behind this frog’s ears serves the purpose of hearing. This eardrum is actually a specialized patch of tissues that tend to vibrate whenever it is hit by sound waves. The green frog’s brain then goes on to interpret these vibrations as sound.
Green frogs never chase their prey; in fact, they tend to eat whatever seems to come by or pass its way.
