Young Mama Bear & Cub

This is the second time in two weeks I've encountered this young mama bear and her two cubs, albeit in different locations.
I expect it's her first litter and the tiny cubs were hard to see in the tall grass. Only one is visible here.
This image was the best I could manage in half an hour of watching them before they ambled off.
Really wish I'd had the big lens along with me but that's often how it goes.

Always a treat to see a mum and cubs. And get any kind of photo regardless of camera!

I know the frustration of not having the right lens... But here you were able to capture these bears in broad situation in their environment.
And the details are there too : I like that we can appreciate the nose and the look of the mother. In addition, it is an opportunity that may not be repeated... V.

What a sweet shot of these two. How lucky you were to see them, and twice at that.

having the wrong lens is always frustrating, and bound to happen unless you get a pack mule...the image still stands as an attractive scene, and made all the more enjoyable with the presence of the bears..
