Trailers attached to motorcycles remain popular in the capital despite the recent influx of auto rickshaws. They can carry as many as 30 people per trip. In the 2000s, these modes of transport were highly favoured by the public. Today, they continue to be preferred by students and garment workers because of their lower commuting costs and availability.
