The Bourton Downs are a sweeping area of upland Jurassic limestone primarily used for grazing sheep and cattle
It feels very isolated up here, there's few hamlets, farms or farm buildings and what there are, are few and far between and widespread across the landscape
The wide horizons and endless skies just add to the feeling of space and lonesomeness - it's one of my favourite places in the Cotswolds
