Dear Jim, thanks for the encouragement and suggestions...But, record my voice? What I am doing? I am screwing up...lol...but almost surprisingly, no damage done. Hooray! Traveller

This is just simple food coloring and water, the hope was that there would be some super rejection of the water, almost explosion like...but this is not what happened.

I don't have much time invested in this...less than an hour...it is not important, this was just an idea...but in setting the camera for high-speed shooting contained some valuable lessons.

Maybe...lol...Traveller

BTW, looking at the debris, the pan might be too hot and you got a lot of splattering.

T - there are many variables in play here.
Material or liquid, temperature of the pan, surface of the pan, dropping height, amt of material dropped, etc.

I think it could be still yield great results, but you need to figure out the details.

SO, don't give up. Keep playing. One thought for the initial time - shoot some videos of the experiments. You can always extract a frame for a photo, but you need to capture what is happening. That may give you some ideas of what to do, and what to avoid.

One good benefit of a video - you can record your voice as you describe what you are doing.

My advice would be to stop using blackberry jam then. Or since you’re a high roller maybe it’s caviar instead. 😉. Paul
