103 - 18.3 20080706 - 300 137 Common Loon.jpg

Herewith continuing with past comparison postings as I am presently still not able to take pictures due to a recent operation to my right hand. The bandages and splint come off tomorrow however, so hopefully I will be back in the saddle again next week.

The above image was taken in 2008 with my third DSLR, the 12.3 Mpx Nikon D300 and my 300 mm f4 lens + 1.4 T.C.

I think this and yesterday's postings of my initial foray into wildlife photography using older equipment compare well with my recent postings using more advanced DSLR equipment - My excitement with good photos, then compared to now, is certainly at the same level, if not greater.

Great info and superb shot!! I think this shot is exceptional in quality.
I hope your hand heals well. I had a broken right wrist earlier this year, made doing things difficult!
