The block of units on the top of the hill was public housing until sold off to developers by the NSW Government 10 years ago. The occupants were shifted 50km out of the city to a location where land was extremely cheap but a car is required to get around. The developers wanted to demolish this block building, built in the 1950s in a brutalist style that is now back in fashion. Fortunately the developers failed to get approval to demolish and the grey concrete building is now being painted in a colour to match other buildings in the area.
