Man who drove with his foot summoned for punishment

A foolish motorist, who boasted via social media that he drove his car using his foot – instead of the more customary hand method – has been admonished by traffic police of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police.

Phnom Penh Municipal Police took immediate action after a video of the man with the steering wheel was shared on social media,

Concerned citizens protested and strongly criticized the man’s arrogance for driving in such a manner, which could cause a traffic accident and endanger the lives of others.

Immediately after receiving the video, Phnom Penh Municipal Police Commissioner Lt. Gen. Chuon Narin ordered all 14 district police inspectors to conduct an immediate search for the man.

The man was then located in Po Sen Chey district and summoned by the traffic police of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police for questioning and processing according to the procedure on the afternoon of July 20, 2024.
